Dr. Ming Hwey Jih, MD

As a physician myself, i am keenly aware of the traits and qualities I want to see in my own doctors. Dr. Ming Jih easily exceeds my stringent criteria. She’s very knowledgeable, thorough and compassionate. I’ve seen her now several times and am impressed with her ability to analyze the information and derive a rational and well-explained plan of care. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Jih. My significant other had a dermatology appointment with Dr. Jih and recommended her to me. He is a tough critic but also quick to give credit when due. He was right-Dr. Jih answers every question asked, is thorough and tells you everything she is doing as she does it and explains what she is seeing during the exam. It is very comforting to hear actual comments about what she sees instead of 'hmm' or silence when someone is reviewing every inch of your body for signs of cancer or any other malady. I have found my permanent dermatologist.

Great doctor, great to speak with, explains everything and gives all options. Takes time with the patient, not in a hurry. Remembers the patient from last visit. Creates a sense of loyalty to the patient,

As a professional she is responsible for clinical staff, AS WELL AS front end business operation. My relationship and that of friends I refer is OVER. Some years ago her front end staff made an error on billing , NOT charging the correct copay, a $5.00 difference.Though I refer friends and family, I had not seen her since they sent it to collections. The office were rude to the point of hostile , refused scheduled appointment on arrival unless I pay $5.00 FIRST rudely in front of other patients

was prescribed cyclosporine 100 mg 3xday which I found out 2 weeks later from my oncologist that this medication will greatly reduce the maintenance medicine I take daily after having cancer and I should stop taking it immediately. I am left with the feeling that before prescribing cyclosporine (especially such a HIGH daily dose 300mg) time was not taken to review my daily medicines and make sure not to prescribe a new medicine that could interact. I feel let down by the doctor for this reason. However, I've had no other problems with her and do like her as my dermatologist. Patients just make sure you are your own advocate on medicines and check any new meds out before starting them.

Dr. Jih was a very down-to-earth doctor who asked good questions and thoroughly answered my own questions. I felt she provided honest and direct information and did not feel pushed or pressured into anything.

I have been going to Dr. Jih for several years now and she is the best dermatologist in my opinion and I trust her and her staff. Also, I like the fact that I can Valet park my car and get right in and out of the building with ease. Also, I've had laser procedures done by Angela and she is wonderful also!!!! This is an awesome dermatologist and I highly recommend!!!!!
