Dr M. James You

M. James You, M.D., Ph.D., is the department chair of the Department of Pathology at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte and a professor of hematologic malignancies translational sciences at the Beckman Research Institute.With more than 35 years of experience, Dr. You is a renowned expert in the field of hematopathology. He has received numerous awards for his research and teaching, with more than 150 peer-reviewed articles to his name. Before joining City of Hope, he held multiple leadership positions at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.Dr. You’s philosophy centers on connecting research insights to real-world care, treating every patient as an individual with unique physical, emotional and social needs and striving to provide more equitable access to cancer care for patients everywhere.Board-certified in anatomic pathology and hematology, Dr. You earned his medical degree at Zhejiang University School of Medicine in China and his Ph.D. at the …University of Texas in Austin, Texas.
