Very unethical and dishonest office. Dr Minh is the only one who accepts insurance. His partners are not accepting any insurance which means they are “OUT OF NETWORK.” This means you will pay DOUBLE the cost to see them. Save yourself money and find a Periodontist and Endodontist that is on your insurance plan. The staff are trained to not mention this to you and states that it’s patient’s responsibility to know your insurance. So if you don’t ask, they won’t tell. Just look at your TREATMENT PLAN and ask, “is this In Network or Out of Network?” If the person states it’s In Network then have them write that and sign the treatment plan too (get a copy).If it’s Out of Network then you must make the choice to complete your treatment plan and pay double or even triple the cost for this specialist that is being recommended for which you’ve never met. This happened to a loved one and I don’t want to see it happen to you. He was charged $1,250 for a root canal and Sorrento Valley was paid… 100%. If it went through InNetwork insurance it would have costs around $600. At the end, this procedure gained them an extra $600 and my calling them out on it got us rude, unprofessional and an uncaring response.
