Dr. Minh Tinh Tran, DO

Dr. Tran treated me for an SI joint pinched nerve. I was in severe pain and could hardly walk 15' upon my first visit. She introduced lidocaine via a shot in the affected area. First one only lasted a couple of days. Upon my 2nd visit, she again listened to my issues and suggested another shot. She LISTENED to my health issues! Another shot was given and it absolutely worked. Just had another appt. and I thanked her. I am so grateful that my PCP, Dr. Shuman, referred me to Dr. Tran!!!

It is unfortunate that the previous review was negative. I have only had positive experiences with Dr. Tran. Her treatment, including the injections that I have been receiving with her have been quite helpful and have allowed me to keep working. I also, am very happy with her bedside manner.

I have been seeing this doctor for years and she has never understood my pain, has never expressed an ounce of empathic response in fact will ask me "Doing anything fun this weekend?" all smiley and chipper like I'm planning a bungee jumping expedition when she KNOWS I can barely function. She is cool and aloof, brisk and does no assessment of pain's impact on ADL's. I have made numerous suggestions which she will ignore and then suggest them months later. It's no wonder there is never anyone in the waiting room. I'll be leaving her practice.

I cannot recommend this doctor. In my experience she was a poor listener and had difficulty explaining her thinking behind the treatment decisions she made. In fact, her diagnosis of the problem varied from visit to visit and was sometimes inconsistent within one visit. Her manner was stiff and cool. Bottom line - I arrived with one sprained joint and left with two sprained joints.
