Minhazur Rahman, MD

My wife was admitted to the Slidell Memorial Hospital in February 2024 at the request of S. Baker, MD, her physician for fluid retention due to her heart condition. Dr., Rahman was the MD on call at that time and discharged her after one day of hospitalization and no substantial treatment for fluid retention. After another one and 1/2 days, she was returned to this hospital by ambulance. She expired at Slidell Memorial Hospital 15 days later. Dr. Rahman was the last cardiologist to see her alive. I was present with her during this period. Slidell Memorial Hospital rotates their cardiologists. I would never have an MD from a college in the West Indies treat my wife, but he was on call by Slidell Memorial Hospital and we could not say otherwise. I filed complaints against this MD with the State Health Department, State Board of Examiners for Physicians, CMS, and the CEO of the Slidell Memorial Hospital.

First time patient and had an Angiogram with placement of 2 stents. He was very knowledgeable and explained the procedure in detail which calmed my nerves. I’m very happy to have Dr Rahman as my Doctor.
