My father also saw this dr who cross prescribed medications that should not cross. Put him on an anticoagulant and did not monitor blood. My father had rectal bleeding, nurse told him to come in the following week (my father called on a Friday and the dr was gone). Dr told him it was the anticoagulant causing it, to stop taking it and come back that Thursday. He died on Wednesday after bleeding out very dark, dark blood which is consistent with internal bleeding. This dr did not even see my father and told EMT "heart attack" for death certificate when my father had no risk factors for heart attack and no signs of one - all symptoms and physical evidence point to internal bleeding. Other docs and attorneys said it would be a multi million dollar law suit after reviewing medical records but in florida, laws are sketchy and protect Drs from malpractice unless they have a spouse or have children under 25. My father died in his 60's because he trusted doctors and did not second guess. … Always do your own research.
