Dr. Mirabai Chockalingam, MD

Have been going to Doc for more years than I can even remember, over 12. Yes, at times I have had to wait for her however she gives me as much time as I need. She listens and cares. Doc has always returned my calls even if she has to call me after her long day hours to inform me about my health. I have even received a call on the weekend because it was necessary for my benefit. She also works along side my VA primary doctor. Extra work for her but she cares about me and what I need. Previously, I never had that from the other doctors before her.

Doesn't work on Wednesdays and Thursdays and never returns patient phone calls. Her answering service is a train wreck

Have been a patient of Dr. Chocklingham's for several years. She has great listening skills and not prone to prescribe anything that is not urgently needed. I really like her. Brian M., Pittsford

its true at times you have to wait but to me it is worth it as she takes the time to talk to me about my medical conditions and mental condition. She takes the time to know you as a patient and a person. She is welcoming and caring. I love that she takes the time to know me as a person and treats me as such. Great Doctor been going to her for 9 years.

Every time I come here, i arrive very promptly and on time only to be told Dr. Mira is not even here yet, or that she is on the phone e. Currently I am in her office. It is 12:55 and my appointment was for 12. Extremely unprofessional to have to call an hour in advance to see if she wants to see me yet. Done coming here.

Dr. Chockalingham is an outstanding Internist. She saved my life.

Dr. Chockalingam is very knowledgeable and will take the time to ask many questions to ensure an accurate diagnosis. When she first took over the practice from Dr. Saha, there was an adjustment period, however now she really knows each and every one of her patients, without having to refer to a chart. I see the Doctor pretty infrequently (fortunately), but when I do see her, she asks about my job, my kids (by name!) and the rest of my family. She will take calls on her day off without hesitation and provides the needed support. Dr. Chockalingam is frank and to the point when attempting to diagnose; she will tell you when you have bad habits and tell you clearly to stop them. She does this, because she has the highest concern for two of the most important things to you, your life and well-being.

She always takes the time to understand what your health issues are and what I need to do about them personally one on one. Very easy to talk to and understanding about my health. A very GOOD doctor

This doctor is incredibly rude, I think she feels she is " above " her patients. When speaking to her she states" well I think there is something wrong with him" WHAT , then fix him. You are the doctor. Her practice is alot of elderly people, they need patience. One patient she has hurt. to the point of picking up cigarettes after quitting for 8 months . Way to go doc. Please , if you do not have a heart of stone or skin as strong as steel. PICK ANOTHER DOCTOR

If a doctor calls me in the examining room with instead of a "hello" I get a "lets go" something is amiss. She takes care of you by bullying. When you are called about tests her opening statement is "What did you do?" I'm sure she is an O.K. doctor, just not one I want to be subjected to.
