I’ve seen a lot of psychiatrists over the years, and one thing that makes Dr. Choi stands out is that she really listens—she doesn’t just give you a prescription and send you on your way. When I met her I had been on various anti depressants and anti anxiety medication for over 15 years. I had tried, unsuccessfully, with different psychiatrists to wean off medication. Dr. Choi helped me get off all my meds in a safe and supportive way. She brought new ideas to my case that no other psychiatrist had tried, such as medication compounding to taper meds more gradually and genetic testing to see how my body processed medication. Her novel approach turned out to be the key to helping me reach my goals. I highly recommend Dr. Choi. In addition, she has excellent insight regarding medication during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

I saw Dr. Choi for almost three years and am no longer seeing her only because of insurance changes. I felt like she genuinely cared about me and my health which is something I have not always been able to find in a psychiatrist. When I was in crisis she would always spend the necessary amount of time with me to help me process and work through things. She would also send appointment reminders and communicated via text which I find very helpful and efficient.

She was wonderful and easy to talk to. I felt very comfortable around her and she was very helpful with everything I needed.

I have been an adult outpatient of Dr. Choi's since 2008. She is an excellent Psychiatrist with the highest standards of care. She has an open, warm style that has facilitated my openness to experience, psychological growth, and adult development. I highly recommend Dr. Choi to anyone in need of an excellent psychiatrist!

I contacted Dr. Choi 4 times to set up a first visit. She never got back to me. Don't know if it had to do with my insurance or if she is just THAT disorganized and rude.You'd think that someone who is there to help people with psychological problems would at least respond to someone seeking help.
