Dr. Mirela Carnaru, MD

My wife needed a physical done and went to urgent care on Grand Ave, Maspeth. Dr. Carnaru was the doctor assigned to exam her and was the most unprofessional doctor we’ve ever encountered. She was rude and disrespectful to my wife not even 5 minutes within the exam. Because my wife didn’t understand the form that was given her, which was for the physician to fill out, Dr. Carnaru insulted her and disrespected her by asking her “if she can read simple grammar”. Well my wife and I weren’t happy at all. We told her to leave immediately and to get another doctor to exam her. I sincerely do not recommend this doctor to anybody, especially for your children. I’m also in shock after reading all these bad reviews about Dr. Carnaru that urgent care still has her as one of their physicians practicing at their facility. We are also considering legal action against her for what has happened.

What a rude and unprofessional doctor!!!!

Unprofessional mean crazy lady disrespectful to patients and staff.

As a practicing physical therapist at an academic institution for more than 20 years I was astounded by this doctors poor bedside manner and complete unprofessionalism. My husband, an orthopedic surgeon for over 22 years, and I understand how patients should be treated even when a doctor might be having a bad day and this was well beyond what I would consider acceptable behavior. Instead of celebrating a mother advocating for her son you were annoyed, curt, rude, dismissive and outright confrontational. When a person is sick, vulnerable and seeking medical attention behaving disrespectfully is not acceptable and could not have possibly been part of your training. Your behavior was shameful. If asking questions and showing concern for a loved one is threatening to you, Dr. Carnaru ,then maybe it's time for you to retire.

She is rude and uncaring and in professional. My daughter went there today and cried because of how uncaring and harsh she was.

At 70 years old having been to dozens of doctors here and abroad I must say that not only from her bedside manner but the sensibility and knowledge Dr Carnaru wins first prize as my favorite physician of all times. This is not to say that I have not had other good experiences especially since I am close friends with many doctors. sincerely hope that any of Dr Carnaru's patients will get the benefit that I have by allowing her to treat you as she would her own family.

Cares about patients. Listen and try to understand what is the problem. Follow up with the patient few days after visit to see if improvement is made. I recomanded her to other people.

I wouldn't waste my time going to this doctor unless you already know what you have, such as a common cold. She does not know how to diagnose her patients and she gave me the wrong diagnosis 3 times. Needless to say she is very arrogant when her diagnosis is questioned. Compassion is not one of her strengths.

I see her every year and I am always looking forward to it, she is understanding, great and funny.God bless her.love her
