Dr. Mirella Hanna Younes, MD

I moved to Tulare a couple years ago and found Dr. Younes through my insurance. I am very happy with her and her staff. After just one visit, they knew me by name. Dr. Younes takes the time to talk to you and hear your concerns.

No respect, no empathy, no concern, no desire to listen. Doubts the credibility of your symptoms. Won't believe your past medical history. Says past diagnoses aren't credible, and that your previous doctors didn't know what they were doing. Bad reaction to a medication she put you on? She's insulted and insists you keep trying them. Asks unprofessional questions, such as how you get your income. She thinks the worst of you, even after 10 office visits and your past records on file. Won't co-operate with the psychologist in the office, because she thinks she's right and the psychologist is wrong. She insists your medications and psychiatric meds are wrong, if they happen to be classified as addictive or as controlled substances [Even if it worked perfect for 6 year, and you have no history of substance abuse.] If you need a refill for a medication that happens to be a controlled substance, she insists you change the meds every visit since she's uncomfortable with it. I feel very… disrespected seeing her. She won't give me more than 1 refill of my sleeping pill at a time, because she thinks it has the potential to be abused. I go days without sleep waiting for my next appointment. I weaned off those meds so she'd give me a new Rx that she'd refill for a few months. Been through a few meds and she won't believe me when I say they don't work. Can only sleep 3 hours a night. She claims I'm addicted to sleeping pills rather than actually having an insomnia diagnosis for 6 years / ON FILE. The office staff is friendly, but she is not. I'll be changing doctors. I don't need judgement, I need help.
