Miriam Beth Adam

Miriam was extremely unprofessional during my intake appointment. She did not have things set up ahead of time for our telehealth appointment and had to call me at the beginning of the appointment while she worked on getting the actual telehealth system set up. She was on her phone texting people multiple times, one of which was apparently her daughter because she remarked her daughter was coming home from college to do laundry. In addition to this, she was quite judgmental when I mentioned that I am ethically non-monogamous, even though she'd never heard of that before. To top it all off, at towards the end, she actually stuck her phone up to the camera to show me a photo of some person (family friend, IIRC) that she is helping care for. As she's helping as a friend and not in an official capacity, I don't think that counts as a HIPAA violation, but it was still very inappropriate. I texted her the following morning to let her know I didn't think this was the right fit, to please… cancel my follow up appointment, and that I would be pursuing care elsewhere. She didn't even have the professionalism to respond.
