Dr. Miriam Elaine Brown, MD

After 4 years of daily use, I was cold turkeyed by this doctor. I told her I should be tapered and she refused to listen. I was in withdrawal before I was discharged and she never even saw me. I was doubled over when I was discharged and was horribly sick for months when I was reinstated. I could have had seizures. She should not be allowed to withdraw meds she obviously knows nothing about.

I was diagnosed with depression in 2013 and had since been on medications for it, but with no success. I saw Dr. Brown when I was in the hospital (2018) and after seeing her she told me she believed it was borderline personality disorder (BPD) instead of depression. I've seen doctors for years about my mood and she diagnosed me correctly in a short amount of time. Everything made sense with my symptoms once I read what BPD was and now I'm starting the correct treatment! She was also super understanding and nice when I was talking with her, she made me feel comfortable and able to share private things with her. Loved her.
