Dr. Miriam L Freimer, MD

Stay away from the provider. She has zero assessment skills and is often skeptical of what you say. Despite my positive EMG saying I do have an injured nerve she stated it was normal. Stay far far away from this woman.

Horrible experience! Over two hours late, had resident take the entire history when she was not in the room, nslammed the door open without knocking or apologizing, just seemed skeptical of me the entire time ("hmmm, so totally healthy until a few years ago, huh?" were the first words she said to me after being late), gave me no explanations, made the resident CHANGE MY STRENGTH RATINGS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, then made the resident type in the note that it was most likely FND and the benefit I was experiencing from my medication was due to the placebo effect. My breath count was 28, my BP and heart rate were super high when I'm only 22 and I am telling the resident whow sometimes it's hard to breathe, she never addressed any of this. One month later, I was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis at another hospital system, and one week after that, I was in the hospital for 3 days needing IVIG treatment because I couldn't breathe without severe difficulty. And the treatment worked too! Just… took me near total collapse for someone else to finally listen. But the worst part of this appointment by far was the mental anguish after driving two hours back home just to feel devastated that I may never have answers and this person, who I had waited 3 months to see for a second opinion, had not yet even met me and she already did not believe my symptoms were real or as serious as I was saying they were. Overall, just horrible experience all around.

My doctor, Meriam Freimer, has prescribed my medical care since my hands and feet were profoundly paralyzed from result of a virus. Under her direction, I have regained most function, am returned to my work and to healthy function.

Very poor experience.
