Doctor Ferges is the most insightful, compassionate, thorough physician in his speciality (gastroenterology) or in any other field of medicine. I'm a longtime patient, and I have upmost trust in his medical expertise and care anytime I've being treated by him. He actually listens to his patients, and he is thorough without being quick to rush into performing a test or procedure unless he feels its warranted based on his experience. He has actually taken the time to call me personally with test results (what doctor these days does that?) He is an exceptional physician and I would recommend him to anyone.

The Doctor may be a good doctor but his staff is horrendous. At first glance his staff seem really nice, but as time goes on they turn into bullies. They kept saying they would call me back, when I was sick, to get an appointment and then they wouldn't call. When I would call them they would just snub me and say they'd call me "later today." They didn't call me until more than a week later. They kept getting my records confused by switching my first and last name. I had a problem with my insurance and offered to pay out of pocket while I got it settled and they got very rude and cancelled all other subsequent appointments. What difference does it make if I am willing to pay out of pocket? Not to mention that despite the fact that I told them it was my mother that carried the family benefits policy, they kept telling me to have "my father" fix the problem. Is my family seriously the only family to have the woman of the house carry the benefits policy? Not only that but after I told… them I would pay out of pocket for my next appointment and that I would get my insurance situation figured out, they kept calling me every day threatening to cancel my other appointments. When did trying to get treatment for an illness become so hostile?

As he had been highly recommended to me, I went to Dr. Ferges for a second opinion. I had already had a colonoscopy and endoscopy performed by another gastroenterologist who had just sort of "left me hanging." Dr. Ferges was very pleasant, reviewed the reports for about 30 seconds, read some of the report comments aloud, pressed my stomach in a few places, gave me a sample box of probiotics, and had a bit of a chuckle when I told him how poorly I felt and that I didn't look forward to anything any more because after almost 10 months of suffering, I still didn't know what was wrong with me. "You're depressed" he said, as though it was no big deal. Then he left the room and went on to the next patient.

I am so glad I found Dr. Ferges. The office staff was very helpful. I was able to get a same day visit. He took his time with me and I would recommend him.
