Dr. Mitchell Scott Milan, DDS

Hi, I'm Dr. Mitchell Milan. The reason why I love dentistry so much is because when I went into dentistry I really, truly wanted to do something to help people and at the same time work with my hands. It’s something I’ve always enjoyed doing. And one thing I didn't know until later on in my practice is that I could really, truly actually change people lives and perspectives about their self esteem and how they feel about themselves. Not just their mouth but the effect of their dental health on their general persona. Every day when I walk into my practice it’s just a joy when we’re able to get a good pat on the back from a patient thanking us for the job we’ve done and how it has in fact changed their lives. When that occurs there could be no better reward.
My educational background started at the University of Michigan and go into dental school a year early at the University of Detroit. I graduated the University of Detroit in 1984 and decided to do a general practice …residency, which was a year devoted to hospital dentistry working on patients with trauma, and that's where I really learned a lot about cosmetic dentistry. Since then every day is an education, whether I'm teaching people or whether I'm being taught. It’s just a constant process of learning and teaching and really being the best I can possibly be.
