He is very capable of mesh and fixing pelvic floor issues. I had trouble getting pain management from him bc I have chronic pain and he held back on me thinking I was a drug seeker. I wouldn't give him that info next time, just tell him as it came what my pain level was. But, we sorted out that misunderstanding (too late for me) and if I need follow up surgery at some point for any reason I would go back to him. I'd choose Huntsville over Decataur hospital though - it was an awful experience there!! The day nurse was so clueless! Was supposed to ultrasound after each attempt to pee - nope! Finally I ask for a catheter and the charge nurse came in and there was 1.5 liters!! My bladder could have burst!! And I ask for advice on how to poop , she had none and thought shed given me a stool softener, which she hadn't, and when I ask for one she said she couldn't! I called hubby to bring some from drugstore on his way. And then 2 weeks later the doc asked me if I was taking my prescription… stool softener (that I never got!)(his or nurses fault, I don't know). It was just over the counter collase which I had, but need 2xday for 6 weeks, also had to add 3TBsps of milk of magnesia (still after 3 weeks!). Point: Decataur hospital had NO discharge instructions, nurses weren't trained in this procedure. Was left to my own devices, learning by failing, and thank goodness I have a neighbor nurse , who, after 4 days told me to get a fleet enema. Was painful- would have been much easier to keep it soft with M of M from beginning.

Very sensitive and understanding. Listens well to what can be difficult subjects to discuss with a male doctor. Recommend. He performed Da Vinci surgery on me.
