Dr. Mithran Suresh Sukumar, MD

Dr. Sukumar performed a surgery to remove my upper left lobe of my lung a week ago. He was proficient and only made four small holes to perform. He respected my wishes for not receiving blood during surgery. His concern for me after surgery was excellent, even visiting the hospital to see me on a holiday. And is also concerned about my follow up care. I also was not an easy patient, being hesitant right up to time of surgery. If all doctors were as good as he is, I'm sure going for serious surgery would be much easier and better. He actually listens to his patients every concern. Five stars for you dr. Sukumar

Dr. Sukumar is not only an exception doctor and surgeon, but the care and compassion he shows post-op is truly deserving of praise. In this time of doctors being so busy, to get a personal phone call after an ER visit to check up on you says something to me.

My dad was diagnosed with lung cancer in his right lung, dr. sukumar was very nice at first and thought we were lucky to have him. let me first tell you about my dad he is a disabled vet from Vietnam, he has very bad ptsd and also a traumatic brain injury, he has hidden himself away from the world and very rarely sees doctors are anyone else, over the years he has been in the hospital due to suicide, depression, and drugs, he has smoked pot most of my life and at some point started using meth, he has tried to stop and even went to rehab but nothing worked and he felt nobody helped. My dad is an amazing man and I hate that he has this addiction but I'm not going to stop helping him because he deserves to be helped. So back to Sukumar we went up to have my dad surgery and did his pre op and everything was good expect for the ua part that came back positive for meth, which I know is bad, but it had been close to 5 days since he had used and they cancelled his surgery which we drove very… far away to do this. when we talked to the Dr. again he refused reschedule the surgery and said my dad wasted his time for the or time and that he knows that it wont be worth his time in the future to do the surgery again and just had radiation setup for him to get which is no guarantee to cure him, also he has renal cancer as well, so we don't know if this will help that too, it may just prolong his life but that's it, now my dad feels like he doesn't deserve to live anymore and he has let everyone down, my dad wouldn't be the way he if he got help from people instead everyone just puts him down for what he does, he needs help not someone hurting him more which is what dr. sukumar did he took my dads chance to live away.
