Dr. Mjaved Qasim, MD

Working years for Doc he is a wonderful physician. He is the kind of doctor people are looking for. I managed both Bridgeton office and St Peters office for years. I retired in 2005.

This place is so unprofessional!! Dr QASIM is ok but office manager, receptions, Nurse Practioner Barbra Reed—all need to find new jobs. Barbara is dummm!! She have No knowledge of the mental health population. When I talk to her about my condition she get this stupid shocked look on face like she ain’t never heard of depression, anxiety ect... you wait for 45 to be seen for only 5 minutes. The staff are all rude and disrespectful. I missed a few appointments and was discharged from the practice. The office manager Soheil only gave me one month worth of meds knowing that it take months to get in with another Dr. Is this how you treat a psych patient, knowing the effects of not being weaned off of meds verses being taken of abruptly!!! Don’t waste your time with this office!!!!!

This is the worse Dr office ever. Dr Qasim is ok but the receptionist and Nurse Practioner Barbra Reed and office manager Sohiel need to be banned from practicing. You wait 30-45 min to be seen for a rushed 10 minutes. There’s no therapy type interactions, just here take these meds and bye!!! This office only care about money and meds. If you need to call and speak to someone, good luck getting to a a real person. And don’t leave messages and expect to get a return call! Period!!!

I have seen Dr. Quasm for about a year and a half he came across as a really good doctor pretty punctual most of the time. I moved during this year and a half and continue to drive back over an hour to see him. After a few times of having to cancel and reschedule due to not having transportation he suggested I find a doctor closer to home. Another word he didn’t want to treat me anymore. If you’re reading this you know firsthand how hard it is to get into see a new doctor it takes months. Dr. Quasm refilled my medication for one month and then denied it on the second request. Then after leaving a hysterical message on their voicemail they returned my call and would need the doctor name and appt date of the new doctor so they could verify appt. I was furious and let them know what they could do with my new doctor’s information. Needless to say I am without medication.

Dr Qasim had been by my side for about 20 yrs now, and never once has he ever shown frustration or judgement. Sometimes the wait may be long and that’s totally fine because when he is with you he gives you every minute you need, without feeling rushed. He has never given up on me or made me feel like a burden. He is kind and loyal and I can never repay the support and compassion he has given me.

He listens. He recommends. Holds me accountable and has care for his patients. Found me the right medications for my illnesses and it changed my life. I really mean that.

He cares about people. After a year of denial, I realized he knew me better than I knew myself. He is extremely busy but was there for me when I needed help. I love his staff.

Dealing with psych patients, I would expect him to recognize the role the family plays and the insight they can provide (especially when never seen a patient before). We did not appreciate any changes to a treatment plan with zero discussion - that's poor care and a violation of patient rights. You were a disappointment to say the least in a facility that we once respected.

This doctor is excellent. He has really saved my child's life. He is really personable and the staff is very kind. I have nothing but great things to say. He really cares and that is hard to find .. The only thing that I could say is sometimes you will wait a bit longer but just know that sometimes others need a little more time and he is gracious enough to give it so it does not bother me.

I am very pleased with the staff and the doctor.
