Dr. Mohamad Abul-Ela, MD

I went to this doctor because I was searching for a doctor of excellence, and my relative recommended him. I also liked the fact that I could get in very quickly all the time, and the office staff was so friendly and accommodating. I couldn't help but notice the office waiting room was usually empty. Once in a great while, I would see one other patient besides myself. I used to wonder why, but I liked his bed side manner so I kept going despite my observations. However, I never felt completely satisfied with his treatment plans. I have a major family history of heart disease and cancer. I ended up even more sick than usual, and so I went to another doctor on call for him since he was out of the country at the time. The doctor on call was suspicious of my symptoms and to be thorough and careful, he wrote up paperwork for blood work. I figured since he was my family doctor, I would return to him to see if he wanted to add anything to the bloodwork before I got it done. The final blow… was when we took my bloodwork and ripped it up into microscopic pieces. He said "You don't need any bloodwork" and mind you I have a very scary family medical history. Needless to say, I was completely finished with him because showed me he was not only unprofessional in his mannerisms, but he was also being very negligent with my care.
