Dr. Mohamad A Azzam, MD

I am in the medical field and the treatment my mother has been getting is ridiculous. What I can say is that he nor his staff care about patients and their pain. My mom has been in severe pain for 4 days, we both have called the office, they take a message and never call.

Dr. Azzam is one of the most effective and caring doctors that I have had in a long time. I had sleep and nerve pain issues for years and within a couple of visits he had solved my problems. He has a courteous and effective office staff and I highly recommend Dr.Azzam.

The office staff was very nice, however, I think that you should specify clearly that you do not prescribe narcotics. I was referred to you after an insurance change and have a condition that injections will not be acceptable. If your office staff would tell people that upfront instead of after allowing me to pay my copay, I believe it would save alot of frustrations. For some of us waiting on disability, paying a pointless copay only to get told to find another dr, is the difference between having dinner and not having dinner.

Should not really call himself a doctor. He doesn’t care about his patients. His office visit was $170 and he did not even perform an exam but rather requested an MRI. Three weeks later I am yet to hear back from him regarding the results or the management plan. I called several times and even went to his office several times but haven’t heard back from him. There is no excuse for this negligent behavior.

Should not call himself a doctor. He is a disgrace to the profession. Took a $170 the first visit and requested an MRI. I hand delivered the report to his office 3 weeks ago and never heard back from him. He is Negligent and doesn't care. His office is a joke. If you care for your loved one don't take them to him.

Dr. Azzam refuses to give facet injections or any other injections on both sides at the same time. He insists it is due to insurance reasons but I know better as I've seen pain management doctors off and on for years. The only reason he does not give pain relief to his patients on one visit when it is easily possible to do so is because of his greed. Since he insists on two appointments to perform procedures is because the patient must pay for two office visits plus it gives his office the opportunity to charge the insurance companies additional unnecessary charges because he insists on getting paid twice for anesthesia, etc. Doctors like this are part of the problem of increasing medical costs. It also causes the patient to miss more work for recovery. Dr. Azzam should be ashamed of himself. I've only experienced this type of doctor/billing with one other pain management dr and he is no longer in business. I requested other pain injections and he said we would have to… discuss it at another appointment. So if you are concerned about the need to get back to work in a timely manner or extra medical expenses if you have a deductible then this doctor is not for you. II will not return to him because he cares more about making money than helping his patients. Good luck!

This Dr had no idea about what my diagnosis was and how to treat it. Telling me that there is no such thing as surgery wise, but yet there are reports on this type of surgery. Still waiting for his staff to call and make an appt for injections and that was well over two weeks ago. Was an arrogant A**hole. I do not recommend him at all. he was a joke and made me feel stupid. wasted $65 for 10 mins

I broke my back last year and was referred to Dr. Azzam's office. Being a nurse and having no experience with pain management clinics, I was very skeptical. I imagined an office where people came to easily get pain medication and a sketchy doctor. I couldn't have been more wrong about this clinic! Dr. Azzam's office and medical staff are fantastic, knowledgeable, and very caring. Funny too. Dr. Azzam himself, is not the doctor I envisioned at all. The exact opposite. He listened to my concerns and agreed that we had the same goals regarding my pain management. I am a horrible patient yet he always carefully explained things to me in the manner best suited to my personality. He took the time to understand what I was worried about. He is extremely knowledgeable and up to date with the most current therapies. I ended up having Kyphoplasty and that was a fantastic decision. I trust Dr. Azzam 100%. I cannot recommend this office enough.

Was referred by my primary care physician to address back pain . Set an appointment for 3:30 on Monday provided insurance information. Arrive at 3:15 filled out additional forms payed copay in advance. Waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes now 4:30 . No updates as to why delay . Decided there are too many other doctors in Tx to wait for someone that didn’t respect my time on the initial visit .

Thanks to my wife, I met with Dr. Azzam. He's a great doctor, excellent bedside manner, and is helping me get through some issues. I have the utmost confidence in him and his staff. I fully recommend them as your pain management team.
