Great bedside manner. Accurate, thorough.

My husband had to have a kidney removed. After a year and a half of the VA not taking his condition seriously, Dr. El-jack arrived on the scene at our VA hospital is West Palm Beach, Fl. He took my husband's condition seriously, was very professional and courteous and put us at ease. He promised my husband that they would do what they could to have a laparoscopic surgery and not have to cut him open. He worked over 7 hours on him to keep that promise, where most doctors would have just given up and done a general open surgery so they could go home for the day. He promptly followed up with my husband and I to make sure everything was going well and smooth with recovery. Thank you, Dr. El-jack! You are one of the best!

Good news for Marinette, Wisconsin - bad news for wherever Dr. El-Jack has decided to move his practice. Everyone I talked to seems to agree that this urologist is charming and kind when things are going well, or when he's trying to sell you a surgery. But the minute you have a complication or pain following his surgery, look out, he turns on you and refuses to help. I was glad to hear he is leaving Marinette, but sad for the people he will see in Florida or wherever he is headed next. He destroyed my bladder with unnecessary surgery. I think the worst part though is how he treated me as a female. Obviously a cultural thing, but Dr. El-Jack will talk to you if you're a female, as long as you're alone at the appointment. But bring your husband with, and he speaks TO your husband ABOUT you as if you aren't in the room - his culture treats women as property. And that is how I felt at every appointment my husband went with me to. Reading other comments and talking to other patients, I… can't believe this doctor hasn't had major complaints filed against him. Would NOT recommend!!!

My sister saw him and had an AML surgically removed from her kidney. Ablation may have been a better treatment but this was not offered to her. She is now in Severe pain 24/7 and has gone on permanent disability related to this intractable pain. I work with a Urologist and know that this is not normal. He was arrogant and totally dismissive of my sister's complaints. I have tried to find where he practiced prior to coming to Marinette and cannot find anything about him. He said he was from a major transplant facility prior to this and is "well known" for the many papers he has written. I cannot find any papers authored by him. Must be looking in the wrong place. And if he is "famous" why would he go to a very small community where he could not receive funding to further his work? Wonder if he was "asked" to leave his prior practice.

Dr. El-Jack misdiagnosed me at first with Interstitial Cystitis, when I really had a bladder prolapse. Then, he insisted on doing surgery with transvaginal mesh, without giving me the FDA warnings that I could be left in severe pelvic pain. Then, when I ended up being one of the 15% of women who have major complications from mesh slings, he blew me off and refused to help me. I now live in 24/7 severe pelvic pain, even though another doctor did remove my sling. The pain is much better now that the mesh isn't cutting through my urethra and vagina. But it is still bad enough to affect my life. This man caused me to be permanently disabled at age 45. Had he listened to my pain and concerns, and removed the mesh, I would likely not have chronic pelvic pain now. Run from this doctor. He pushed mesh without giving proper warnings.

Dr. El jack is an extrodinary physican as well as a caring person who is truely inerested in you and your condition.
