Dr. Mohamed Khalf Gad Kassem, MD

My 50 yr old friend was an RN who had gone through breast cancer. She began having lots of back pain & sought care with Dr Kassem. She had to ask him for a bone scan and it was resulted the same day (she later checked at the hospital). Two weeks later, she had her appt. & I went with her. He walked into the room, asked her what she needed. She told him she was following up regarding her scan. He walked out, came back in with a piece of paper- her report which his office had for approx. 2 wks. He simply handed the report to her. She read that she had metastasis to her brain, spine, femur and ribs. , The only thing he said was, "you need to see your oncologist. Make an appt in a couple weeks and we will talk". I grabbed the paper as my friend sat there in shock & told him she wouldn't be back. We walked out and not one word was said to us. What a coward and a heartless soul this supposed doctor has. He should not be in practice. She went to a good doctor after that experience, but… unfortunately was dead in 3 mos.

First appointment with Dr Kassem, appointment scheduled at 11:00 am there at 10:50am, by 1:30pm still in waiting area to be called back. Have type 2 diabetes, was getting sick, had to leave. On a side note office was disgustingly filthy.

This doctor was referred by the Emergency Room at Bay Medical Center in Panama City as a follow up for my emergency visit. [Bay Medical did a fine job and I was VERY happy w/ the physician there.] I am in the area temporarily with my primary doctors being out of state. This was the dirtiest doctor's office I have every been inside of. No explanation was given for my wait time. (the doctor was finishing rounds at the hospital I found out later.) The doctor proceeded to attempt in running various tests administering care outside my current immediate needs. I did not need a new PCP, I needed to ensure my wounds were healing appropriately. I did not need him to treat my thyroid condition, run blood work for that, or ultrasounds, I needed him to inspect my wounds for infection and check out an inflamed lymph node. He barely glanced at my wounds and instead ran the ultrasound on my thyroid leaving me to insist that the lymph node was ultrasound. I would never go back to this doctor and… advise you avoid as well. A nasty office isn't a great place for open wounds.

If you want a quality doctor, Mohamad Kassem is your best choice. I have found his staff friendly and helpful.Dr. Kessam is knowledgeable and sincere. I live on the beach in Pamanda City and the drive across the bridge is well worth the effort. I take my whole family to his office, he being one of the few doctors to have privileges at both hospitals, Bay and Gulf.
