Mohammad Abtahi MD, is the proud founder of Abtahi Pediatrics. As a native of Iran, he graduated from Tehran University Medical School. Dr. Abtahi began his residency training at Ahari Children’s Hospital at Tehran University and completed his fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology and Pediatric Nephrology Pathology at Ahari Children’s Hospital. Additionally, he completed his pediatric residency training at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. We live in Minnesota now, but when we were in IL. Dr. Abtahi was our pediatrician for my 4 kids. He is so awesome, funny, caring and sweet. My kids have been seeing him since they were babies and they are older now.. when my older kids turned 18, Dr. Abtahi continued to allow my older kids to come to him if they needed to. When we moved to Minnesota, he told me he didn't care how far I was, he was just a phone call away if I had concerns or wanted to bring my kids in to see him for anything if we were in town. I love De. Abtahi and we miss him as our pediatrician. We will definitely go back to him if and when we move back to IL. :)

Thjs pediatrician prescribed me a birth control pill called the Mini Pill instead of referring me to a gynecologist. Had an appointment with him today and asked if I could get on a 2 hormone pill which are better for teenagers and help more with regulating periods. Dr abtahi got in my face and started to yell, he said " I am not your servant " and wouldn't even let me speak. I started to cry and have bad anxiety. It gets even worst, he got the clipboard and told me to get out, he told me to leave the room and I told him I wont be spoken to that way. This doctor is unprofessional and mean. He has a horrible attitude and all this happened because I wanted a two hormone pill. Im still in disbelief.

I absolutely love going to this doctor. My daughter loves it he is very patient with kids and loving also when my daughter is sick they take her in right away.

I will never go back to this doctor... He simply used to give strong antibiotics for my 2 year old baby and he was never uptodate with her vaccination records... And the waiting time is horrible. I had to wait more than an hour every single time I visited.

The staff here are not at all good.They tell you they will call you back and they will never give you return call.Anything you ask they will answer in no before listening.I am visiting this place from last month and I am very baffled to see such kind of un-professionalism here.
