Dr. Mohammad Anwarul Haque Emran, MD

Sadly, the nurse is the worse.

I only saw Dr Emran twice, but he was kind and seemed to genuinely care about my care. I really am so disappointed to have to leave him, because I just found him. If I can just tell someone my experience to give them food for thought, then, this review will be worth it. The woman that answers the phone (I know her name well, but will let you find out on your own, if you take a chance)has an unfriendly tone, talks over you, and displays no manners or diplomacy at all. She could benefit to try and acquire “southern” manners like most of us display most of the time. However, I stood up to her, because she is not fit to work in a doctors office, of all places, where people are hurting! I have no doubt at all she “runs over” many patients. I have been told multiple times ,over the years and present, by females and males, that I am so sweet and kind. It is very sad she works where everyone deserves kindness and diplomacy which she does not have or does not care to have. The nurse and I… were fine, until I told her about not wanting to talk with the woman again, and started telling her that I have many physical health issues to have to deal with that person, and she says to me,“ she did not want to hear my health problems”. Just to make my point, I am in pain about 20 hours per day, and was hoping for a few seconds of empathy and she said that instead. I overlook my pain which is unbearable at times to be kind to everyone I meet. I was in public relations field for years, and I know poor manners and good manners as well. Again, if you can overlook them, I liked Dr. Emran. But I cannot tolerate that lack of human kindness especially in the world today.

I made an appointment for my son to be seen after he was told to follow up with a doctor. He was in the ER last weekend and his blood work came back OK but was extremely ill, with symptoms very similar to meningitis. They ruled that out, but felt he needed more evaluation. We come from NJ, a state infested with deer ticks and lyme cases. I called the office and requested a lyme test and tests for all coinfections associated with lyme. The receptionist said she would put that into his file for it to be done and would speak to the doctor about it. He left the office and informed me that the doctor disregarded his requesting a lyme test, and said go get blood work in 6 months up in NJ. to compare results to ER bloodwork All of the infectious disease doctors I spoke to yesterday, before making this appt. told me he had to be seen by a PCP first and should get a lyme test through the PCP. I called Dr. Emran's office to discuss and they were totally rude, stating that there was… nothing in the file about the request and that they couldn't discuss it with me as he is over 18. (Speaking with my son after the conversation, I learned that he did indeed fill out a form stating he could share all info with me). I was in the middle of a conversation with the receptionist when she must have just walked away as no one said a word for over 10 min. I called back and explained what had just happened. The nurse was on the phone and she told me he should go elsewhere for a test and that the doctor told my son that it couldn't be lyme as you don't get a rash in your face. My son told me that was never said either. I would NEVER recommend this practice to anyone although they came recommended by another doctors office. Very, very disappointed in the way I was treated and the lack of trying to diagnose my son.

We are so happy to have Dr. Emron, we trust him with our lives

I have been ill with mystery illnesses for about 20 years. Though Dr. Emran has yet to 'put me back together' neither have the other 40 or so doctors I have seen prior to being his patient. To be fair, he needs a little more time with me but I have faith. But, he is the most kind, empathetic, sweet, decent and caring physician I have ever had the good fortune to meet. My spouse felt the same. If one is ill there is no need to see a doctor's asst; Dr. Emran will fit you in, no matter what. If you are an inpatient he will see you and explain what is happening, every day, at your bedside, without fail.His office staff is unfailingly polite, never act rushed and recently, though I had offered my insurance information, it was being rejected. I was away for almost a year due to the illness of my spouse. All this time my bills were piling up (they kept resubmiitting, trying to get paid) but his office never, not once, contacted me about the back bills. When I arrived home and went to an… office visit the girls wrote my balance on my check out sheet. I asked why they had never contacted me and they told me that they wouldn't think of adding stress to all the problems I was experiencing. Hard to believe? Yes...but one visit to Dr. Emran and you'll be signing a transfer of medical records form immediately. I give him the highest of recommendations.I had a physican for years before going to Dr. E. This physician is very respected in our community but I compare him to the gas station, also in my area, that's always closed. The signs boast gas at $2.00 a gallon, pretty good in today's economy. The gas station is never, ever open. What good will it do me? Ditto for this other doctor. One can not see him without making an appointment a few days in advance. If it's an illness that requires immediate attention; see his PA. I never, in all the years I was a patient, actually saw the doctor when I was ill. What good did he do me? Dr. Emran is a breath of fresh air in the (my opinion) mostly jaded medical professionals I have met.
