Dr Mohammad H Shahegh

My appointment was good but I’m only giving a five, because the doctor tends to get offended if you asked to many questions.

Dr Shahegh is our family dentist for many years. He is very professional, experienced, knowledgeable and caring. My tooth split in half and after I have called him, he was able to accommodate me in his busy schedule and see me the same day. He saved my tooth and prevented expensive and possible risky surgery! I highly recommend D. Shahegh!

My family and I were going to this dentist for years. For at least 15 years, as far as I can remember now. All this time he was doing a pretty good job (this is why it is a two-star review, not a one-star). At some point, during a routine filling, he damaged a tooth nerve in one of my teeth. This appointment was on Thursday and next day I had an insane toothache in that tooth. The guy himself or anybody in his clinic were not available to help or at least to prescribe a pain reliever, because over-the-counter analgesics did not work at all. Their phone number did not respond and whoever answered the phone that time (some kind of a backup receptionist or after hours person), could not write a prescription. After two sleepless nights, I went to a walk-in emergency clinic and a doctor there wrote me a prescription, which somewhat helped to reduce a pain. One the following Monday I went back to Dr. Shahegh. What he did, is merely directed me to a root canal specialist. Root canal cost was… around $700. On the top of that, for about $100, Dr. Sahegh did another filling to restore the tooth after root canal. No apologies or discounts for wrongdoing, not excuses or reasons for unavailability were offered. That was when I lost my trust and stopped going to this dentist. It has been a while ago.
