Mohammed Akhter, MD

Dr. Mohammed Akhter is a cardiovascular disease specialist with advanced training in interventional cardiology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Punjab, King Edward Medical School in Lahore, Pakistan, before completing his residency at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles. Dr. Akhter pursued extensive fellowship training in cardiovascular medicine at prestigious institutions, including the Cardiovascular Institute at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at SEMC through Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, and additional fellowship training at the University of Southern California. He holds board certifications in internal medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine and speaks English.
