Dr. Mohammed Akhter, MD

Dr. Mohammed Akhter specializes in cardiovascular disease with advanced training in interventional cardiology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Punjab, King Edward Medical School in Lahore, Pakistan, and completed his residency at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles. Dr. Akhter pursued extensive fellowship training, including programs at the Cardiovascular Institute at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at SEMC through Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, and the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles. He holds board certification in internal medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Akhter speaks English.
