Dr. Iyoob Ilyas, MD

Dr. Iyoob Ilyas is dual board-certified in colorectal and general surgery with over 20 years of experience. He specializes in advanced robotic and minimally invasive colorectal surgery, including complex oncologic resections, reoperative colorectal surgery, and multidisciplinary management of colorectal disease. Recognized for his expertise in complex robotic colorectal operations, Dr. Ilyas has helped develop surgical departments and multidisciplinary oncologic service lines locally and in other states. His approach emphasizes individualized, evidence based care aimed at preserving function, minimizing complications, and improving long-term outcomes.Dr. Ilyas serves in multiple leadership roles, including Vice Chair of Colorectal Surgery at the International College of Surgeons and other leadership positions within the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He has chaired multidisciplinary NAPRC tumor boards that integrate surgical and oncologic care.
