Dr. Mohd Boda, MD

I recently was admitted to Olathe medical center after going to the ER due to a bout of cellulitis that was resistant to the meds my PCD gave me. On day 2 of being there, he quickly comes in, looks at my leg, and then begins going on about how my diabetes will make things like this far more common. Quick note, I'm large, but not diabetic. I currently take metformin, but that was as a preventative measure a year and a half ago as my A1c was getting a bit close to Prediabetes range. after two months I was well out of that range but my doc wanted to keep me on it for a bit just to ensure I was well away. Upon telling him this, he scoffs, and says I'm either diabetic, or trying to get pregnant, that its not used in preventative care. Ok fine, annoying, but thats not why I'm here. I ask him how long until he thinks I can leave. "well, we are waiting on your blood culture to come back. We cannot release you until we know what to prescribe you!". When I tell him that they had done no such… test, he again, audibly, scoffs, and says "Of course they did. It was done in inpatient. They took blood from two locations, correct? " - Nope! - "I assure you, they did. you must have been tired and forgot." I bit annoyed, I just rolled with it assuming maybe they didn't need 2 locations for the blood draw and he misspoke. roll forward to the next day, he zooms in, looks at my leg, says "It looks the same! another day!" and tries to zoom back out. I catch him and ask about the lab results. he claims, "they should be here by morning!" and away he goes. I later asked the nurse if I had that test on my sheet and she stated that no blood culture had been taken, but that Dr. Boda had arranged for an infectious disease doctor to come in and inspect me before release. So overall, he misspoke about the test, then proceeded to lie and avoid me until it was another doctors turn.

I have been to this Dr a couple of times. He is nice and will order a test as long as I am in the office for an appointment. There are a few things that have not set well for me. Firstly, I am a single woman in my 30's and every time I see him, he looks at my age and then tells me that I am at an age that a woman should focus on finding a partner in life as I am an attractive young lady and it would be sad to have something happen to me at home and nobody finds me for several days. I took this as him just trying to be helpful and I even tried to explain the troubles of dating but he would cut me off and repeat himself saying I should really find a partner. It's really non of his business if I am dating or not. Secondly, The office does not like to discuss any results over the phone and they are not proactive with treatment. If you have testing and it is suggested that further testing be done, they will not order those tests with out you having another Dr appointment. They will tell… you to make an appointment and leave it at that. I have worked in Dr's offices before and if a test came back suggesting additional testing is needed, the Dr would order those test rather than requiring another appointment. Thirdly, I have taken depression medication in the past and tried to talk to Dr Boda about wanting something for re-occurrence of my depression. He told me psychology has only been around for maybe 100 years and is a fairly new thing so he wanted me to wait for regular annual blood work to come back because that might explain my depression. I will never go back to this office! Dr Boda is inappropriate and the office is not proactive. Its all about the dollar for them!

I have been seeing doctor Boda for several years. I like him very much. There has been something working on me for several years. Doctor Bode usually sends me for test, etc. this last visit I had not been well at all for two weeks. I had with me a list of symptoms. I was even running a temperature and he did not acknowledge this at all. He talked constantly and I was not given the chance to tell him what all was going on. I even have a lump under my arm that I mentioned and he did not even look at. He did lab work and then I was scheduled for a follow up appointment on Sept. 13th. I still feel bad, hurt all over, legs have visible signs of something going on. I called his office this past Thursday to see if my lab results were in. She told me that I could not have them since I had a follow up appointment. Today is the 1st and my appointment is on the 13th. Something is wrong with me but no one seems to listen. Then I was called from someone in his office on Friday saying… they were told that I needed medication. I explained that I had not asked for medication but needed to know how my lab work was. She paused and then told me my lab work was not in yet. Lab work was done on Monday and they say on Friday they still do not have it. That is a first for me that it tt has taken so long to come in. I am not going to wait any longer for an answer from this doctor or office. It is disappointing because I did like the doctor and staff.

Dr. Boda is the gold standard that physicians should aspire to become. He is compassionate and caring and spends whatever time is necessary to treat each patient. He is an excellent doctor and I'm so glad I found him!

Dr. Boda is a great doctor he makes you feel comfortable and like part of his family. I have referred multiple friends and family to him!

Dr. Boda is an extremely caring physician. He has the abilaity to send me away feeling wonderfully served and far more confident about my health and myself overall.

Wait time reasonable. I would wait all day on a Ferrari not so much on a Pinto. Does NOT listen, he is the Dr, you are the patient. I don't except a dr to do what I think I need. That's why I'm there, but I've been in my body a little longer and know when something is wrong. He does not care what your opinions are as evidence by not acknowledging them via verbal response, documentation, rx or explanation as to why he thinks otherwise. He types, while you talk. Then he tells you his decision, shews you out & that's that! I would go to my Shih Tzu's Vet with more hope!! I'm so afraid for anyone with real physical or psychological illness to see this dr. The way a Dr treats you and the way you feel when you leave can really be the difference between life & death! Not just related to pathology but psychology!!

Dr Boda really cares about his patients and spends the necessary time at appts to take care of them. This means that he sometimes runs late, but that is expected when a physician doesn't rush. I trust him with my healthcare and that of many other family members.
