Dr. Mohit Nanda, MD

I first saw Dr. Nanda several years ago when he repaired a detached retina. I am forever grateful that he saved my vision and grateful as well that he continues to accept me for routine care, as my former oculist has retired. I find him to be a warm and caring person as well as a top of his field physician and surgeon.

Dr. Nanda, In 1997 Dr. Nanda performed emergency surgery on my detached retina, putting in a sclera buckle. He lived in Orange County, CA at the time. He said the surgery went well but he did not know if I would have vision or not. After some healing I ended up with 20/25 eyesight. Since Dr. Nanda moved to Virginia I have had my eyes checked by other ophthalmologists. Some of these ophthalmologists were in the same practice as Dr. Nanda. Others were not. Without exception they marveled at the scleral buckle inside of my eye and how well it was done. I can’t think of a better recommendation for a surgeon than to have more than a dozen ophthalmologists look inside my eyeball and give their professional seal of approval. Some people remember their favorite first grade teacher. I remember my favorite eye doctor, who is Dr. Nanda. Not only are his surgical skills the work of an artisan according to his peers, I also thought he was a warm and caring doctor. What prompted me to look… up Dr. Nanda after all these years was because of what happened today. I went to the eye doctor as I am starting to develop glaucoma. He said, quite frankly, with everything that has gone on with that eye, it is a wonder I am not blind. Daily, I am thankful that I have my vision. Dr. Randa and all his associates are top-notch, professionally and personally. I started to go to him this year when my retinal specialist of over 20 years retired. I have been VERY pleased with Dr. Randa and with EVERYBODY in his office. The waiting times are quite short, and the staff members know exactly what they are doing and are pleasant in performing the tasks involved. Dr. Randa is highly competent professionally and is a good communicator, takes plenty of time to talk with you and answer questions. The office environment is very patient-friendly. I give the whole practice an A-plus rating. I was sorry when my previous retina specialist, Dr. Sanbborn, retired, because he was a FINE doctor and a nice guy, but I feel fortunate to be going to Dr. Randa. Believe me, as a patient and as a Medical Administrative Officer in the Army many years ago, I have observed some doctors who should not be practicing, so I do not give high recommendations easily. Dr. Randa deserves the highest… rating, in my opinion.

I was a patient of Dr. Nanda in California. He was able to repair my right eye after a interocular lenz detached and also resolved a retina bleeding problem. As far as I'm concerned Dr. Nanda is one of the best eye specialist in the U.S.

I wish all my doctors (and their staffs) were this professional and caring!

I have heard only good things in regards to Dr. Nanda. He has an excellet reputation as being the doctor to go to when no one else can or will help. I am going to make an appointment and see how well this reputation is. Looking forward to meeting Dr. Nanda.
