A member of the Department of Radiology in Torrey Pines, Dr. Saeed received his medical training at Yale, Harvard, and Duke University Medical Centers. He has been on the Scripps Clinic staff since July, 1988, with a clinical faculty appointment at the UCSD Medical School. He is a Vascular and Interventional Specialist, offering a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as all forms of Angiography, Angioplasty, Vascular Stents, a wide range of biopsy procedures and diagnosis and treatment of diseases of any organ systems such as kidney, liver, lung, etc., by minimally invasive means. His special interest is vascular diseases, especially management of blocked arteries, and he has been a leader in the use of new devices in this area, such as stents and stent grafts. He has achieved regional recognition in this aspect of his specialty and is frequently invited as a lecturer at post graduate courses for physicians. He has also been elected a Fellow of the Cardiovascular …and Interventional Society. At Scripps Clinic, Dr. Saeed works very closely with other specialists from the Heart, Lung and Vascular Center. He sees patients by referral both from within the Scripps Clinic system as well as directly from outside physicians.
