Moise Danielpour, MD, is one of the few pediatric neurosurgeons in the world with experience with in utero surgical treatment for birth defects, such as myelomeningocele. He is a member of the international prenatal neurology and neurosurgery conference team as well as a member of the Cedars-Sinai International Skeletal Dysplasia Program. He is a world-renowned investigator and neurosurgical expert on Congenital Malformations of the Central Nervous System and acquired neurosurgical diseases such as Skeletal Dysplasia, Hydrocephalus, Chiari Malformations, brain tumors, Craniosynostosis and Vascular Malformations. Danielpour is also an expert in the use of minimally invasive surgical technology in the care of children with central nervous system disease. His expertise includes the use of minimally invasive techniques in the treatment of pediatric hydrocephalus (endoscopic third ventriculostomy, aquaductoplasty and endoscopic fenestration of intracranial cysts), specifically in neonates …and children. In the laboratory, Danielpour seeks to discover the mechanisms regulating the pathological differentiation of neural stem cells into brain tumor progenitors. Using a next generation glioma models created by him and his colleague, Dr. Joshua Breunig, they introduce patient-specific mutations to create analogous tumors in animal models. From these cancer cells, they are uncovering the developmental origins of tumorigenesis and have begun researching new, more targeted treatments to halt the progression of these malignancies. Dr. Danielpour also investigates the molecular control of neural stem cell behavior in the brain, seeking to replace specific population of glia lost after intraventricular hemorrhage of prematurity.

We saw Dr. Danielpour for fetal diagnosis of enlargement of ventricles. He saw us within a 2 days of the diagnosis. He spent over an hour with us explaining everything to us in great detail although his waiting room was filled with patients. He was very knowledgable and kind. He had a box of tissues waiting to go for me wife. He reviewed the fetal MRI with us. He also reviewed the MRI with our perinatologist and the radiologist. He told us to call with any other questions. He explained that our prognosis was excellent for our baby, although there was still a small chance of the condition getting worse. Our baby is alive and well and the ventricles remain unchanged. He continues to see us to make sure nothing changes.

This doctor has sent from GOD. Dr.Danielpour is a miracle,he saved my 7 year old daughter's life after the horrible accident,and miracle had happened.Thank you doctor so much.GOD bless you and your family.

Dr. Danielpour and his entire staff would easily rank 10 on this four star scale. There is not a category high enough to place him into. He did brain surgery to remove a racquetball sized tumor from the 4th ventricle on my one year old son." The Bear" is now 9 years old, and other than some battle scars on his scalp, you'd never know he had a brain tumor. Our family is eternally thankful that God has given so much talent, skill and grace to Doctor Danielpourl, and that the Good Doctor uses his gifts liberally. You are the best Dr. D. Grace be with you always.

Dr. Danielpour was absolutely amazing when my 3 year old son needed surgery. His office was ridiculously efficient and friendly to start. Then we met him and he was both knowledgeable and caring. He listened to every word we said and made sure we understood everything that would happen. The day of the surgery, he seemed to take care of my son as if he was his own. Couldn't imagine a better experience.
