The office is very unreliable. Wait times are ridiculous. Trying to speak with an office staff is beyond acceptable. Trying to get a referral from this office is a challenge. The referral coordinator needs to lose her job. She sits on requests or ignores them. When you call for status, you're told that it's being worked on and in 24-48 hrs you can pick up. Of course it's a lie. This doctor's office is the worst in Broward.

For referrals is the worst, they are NEVER NEVER ready on time... in the past 6 months I have to leave the specialist doctor office twice without being seen because the referral was not ready.... I called for it more than 7 days before the appt. and then again, and then the day before the appt and showed up in the office the very same day of the appt and still not ready, loosing my specialist appointment. If you need to see more than two specialist in a year, this is not the office to go. The waiting time on the phone, regardless the matter( appointments, referrals, general questions) is from 30 to 45 minutes, sometimes after being waiting the call gets disconnected and have to do all over again.

Today I had an appt with Dr. Issa at 11am. I arrived at 10:45am to be there before. I waited outside and then 2 hours inside. I was freezing. I lost a job meeting and finally walk out without seeing Dr. Issa. I had to work too. The staff was very kind. They said he spends a lot of time with his patients which is great!! The only thing is that he schedules much more patients than he can handle. A serious agenda problem. A lack of respect for his patient's time. Too sad.

First, I want to note that the office staff is courteous and professional. That being said, my rating is based solely on my interaction with the MA. Following the review of my lab results, the MA called two prescriptions into my pharmacy that she had not mentioned nor discussed with me my need for. They are medications that I don't need, and medications that should not be taken together. My records clearly indicate that I am currently on medications that have been prescribed by my Cardiologist and that he has not indicated a need to change. Fortunately, I had the wherewith-all to speak with my pharmacist who advised me what the medications were for and cautioned that they should not be taken together. This is the possible interaction between these two drugs: Using lisinopril together with irbesartan may increase the risk of side effects such as low blood pressure, kidney function impairment, and a condition called hyperkalemia (high blood potassium). In severe cases, hyperkalemia… can lead to kidney failure, muscle paralysis, irregular heart rhythm, and cardiac arrest. You may be more likely to develop hyperkalemia while taking these medications if you are elderly, dehydrated, or have kidney disease, diabetes, or advanced heart failure. It should be noted here that in addition to a heart condition, I am a diabetic. As a side note, when calling this office you will placed on an extended hold.

Extremely rude!

Took his time explaining my moms condition. Even repeating certain instructions to her as she ask several times in the room (Dementia). I would recommend ANY SON OR DAUGHTER to a doc like this one!

He treated my 68 year old mother like if she was his own! Took so much time going over her treatment plan. Wants her in every month to evaluate her progress. Even gave his PERSONAL cell phone number to call in case needed...even as he was leaving this afternoon on a vacation!!!

his office staff is sometimes a little slow, but Dr. Issa is a very thorough doctor, is genuinely interested in my well being, and I have been impressed with his knowledge and empathy. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Dr Issa has been my doctor for the past 9 years and I can truly say he is one of the most qualified and he truly cares about you. I know that other patients say that there is a long waiting time but that's because he spends time with his patients and listens to their ailments. I prefer a doctor that takes time with me than one that rushes me in and out. Try him you won't be disappointed!
