Dr. Moises Gonzalo Rodriguez, MD

Horrible receptionist, cancellation policies and possible HIPA violations. Dr. Rodriguez is fine, but his receptionist and inability to manage his office calls his practice into question. I rather not go into major detail. But the office believes a 48 hour cancellation is based on their work schedule. So because she is only in the office 2 days a week, you can assume that you will need over 2 weeks to cancel an appointment. I spoke with the Doctor who said that was incorrect and would speak to his staff. nothing changed. The receptionist is very unprofessional and will continue to speak over you while refusing to send you to the Doctors voice mail so that you may leave a direct message. Which may be a violation of HIPA. I will assume this person is a direct relative, because I can not believe that this would be allowed otherwise. Reviews calling her out date back 6+ years, that sadly I should have read prior.

I made an appt and paid copayment upfront. I told Lety I work in call center environment and for appt confirmation if she could just call and leave a voicemail and I will call her as soon as I am off the phones. She called me this morning at 9:03am with voicemail 9:13 and 9:34. When I called back I confirmed the appt and asked that for future appts she leave the voicemail and just let me call back. She repeatedly rudely cut me off and continuously asked if I would confirm appt. I told her I had done so about 6x at that point. I asked to speak to someone else and she said after I verified my card. After doing so she said she cancelled my appt and refunded my copayment said good luck bye. I went to the office and she proceeded to tell me I cancelled on my own then admitted to cancelling my appt bc she said I love to argue and that when I called her she answered and I was immediately yelling in screaming. That is a complete lie as I stated work in a call center and if I did that I would… have been fired never mind the entire work floor would hear me. She then told me she’d call my insurance to put a complaint on me. I have no idea what she thought that statement would do. Just no common sense. You can’t call an insurance company to complain about a patient. I suggest if she is indeed this doctors wife he look into getting a qualified person with people skills who if is bilingual they are in fact bilingual and do not have difficulty understanding when someone speaks to them in English.

I set up an appointment for my son (new patient) and told the receptionist (Leticia) that It was tentative and I may call later to reschedule the date. Leticia said there was no problem with changing the date. The day before the appointment I received a reminder call from Leticia and told her that I was glad she called because I was going to reschedule. She got upset and said that I could not reschedule. I told her that most Doctors give you at least 24 hours. Funny how when I first called to make the appointment she was amicable and said it would be OK to reschedule. She then told me that her office needs a 48 hour notice (this was never mentioned on the original call). Then she goes on to tell me that I will be billed for the visit approx. $300 dollars. I began to tell her that I could not be billed for services not rendered, when she just hung up on me.

He listens jokes n asks about ur every day life n family super nice.his staff is rude as If they blame u for all there troubles n I'm seeing him cause I have iuproblems Inter acting well with ppl so I get very uncomfterable with them.
