Dr. Molly Elizabeth Griffin, MD

While I actually like Dr. Griffin and I've been going to her for over 7 years, I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in her policies and office staff. They sent a $40 bill to collections over confusion on insurance coverage/who was covering and disconnected phone numbers. While she is great, I don't care to be treated in such a ridiculous manner when the main issue was insurance coverage confusion.

I have seen Dr. Collasso on several occassions,and she is wonderful. Cheerful, re-assuring and professional (despite her tender years). Would the same could be said regarding the treatment received from the Front Desk. Shannon (who appears regularly as a source of patient irritation on YELP) was aggressive, hostile and totally unpleasant. An "innocent" question regarding co-pay turned into a battle royal with Shannon acting as though her professional integrity had in some way been impugned. It was a singularly distasteful interaction (after a very pleasant medical visit). Dr. Griffin--you need to "heal thy Front Office"!. Shannon does not understand the logic of trying to deal pleasantly with patients.

This doctor is listed with several Preferred Provider Networks, but PATIENTS BEWARE.....they physician's office staff denies it and they won't accept your PPO payments. Not pleasant, either.

I LOVE Dr. Griffin. And I never say that about doctors. She was amazing in treating my case of lichen sclerosis and figured out how to clear up my newborn's chronic, bleeding diaper rash and my husband's warts on his hands and feet that he'd had for years, despite trips to many other dermatologists. She's experienced, confident, personable and all-around excellent. I can't recommend her highly enough.

I have to start off by saying that Shannon was great A+. As for Molly what can I say other than BILL BILL $$$ BILL $$$ turn my head BILL, BLINK BILL! I had a procedure done, she said I may have to come back 3 or 4 times. After the 4th visit and me paying out over $400, with insurance, for 4 One minute liquid nitrogen sprays, 2 months later it came back. 4 months later and the whole thing is back! I stopped by the office on a Monday, Shannon was very nice as usual and took a message for Molly to call me back. No call back till Wednesday and not from Molly but from her helper. I guess she couldnt bill for the call so she couldnt be bothered. I told her helper the problem that its back and her response was that I chose that procedure as opposed to scraping. I said I am not the DR. and that if Molly told me it was going to come back in a month I would not have done it. On my 4th visit I pointed out spots that I still saw and im not sure if she sprayed them or not, but nothing ever scabbed… off. Bottom line is that the procedure was not done properly. If it was it would not have been back in a few months.

Dr. Griffin - if you ever read these comments you should take them seriously. The receptionist never answers the phone. I've been calling for 2 days to make an appointment and keep getting voicemail. I am a patient - or was - since I can't get through I need to find a new Dr.
