He is vere rude and bad doctor

I saw him two and a half years ago and I am still mad. Death in family cause him to go out of country. Upon his return, would not recognize any treatment for diabetes although I had a sugar glucose level of 189- Has to be over 200 he said hen. would not sign disability papers until I could get a second opinion or so I could go back to work- Said it was up to PCP who said the same thing- up to Dr. Garbir- As a result because of the time involved I lost my job and though I have been able to get other jobs I have not been able to enjoy the same professional stature.

I should have noted the red flag when I was able to get an appointment within a week of my call. Office staff was fine but no signs of any other patients.The MA didn't have proper equipment to do an accurate blood pressure - used an XL cuff on a thin arm. Dr. Gabir had read none of the information sent to him by my rheumatologist, nor did he intend to read it. He provided no pertinent information, reviewing diseases and then stating "but you don't have that". When I questioned him for clarification he quickly snapped at me and became rude. He then billed for a high level new patient appointment for which very specific criteria were to have been met. I have requested that my insurance company review my medical record as his billed service did not meet necessary criteria. This was a complete waste of my time and money. Please don't waste yours.

Readers and/or Patients - please read this carefully before going to see this doctor; I can honestly say, this was the worst experience at a doctors visit I have ever had, and quite unnerving. When I met with Dr. Gabir Momin, he was giving me 3 different options for treatment that he did not even diagnose, yet! This was my first time talking with him/meeting with him. And he then asked which one I would like to do! I clearly said no, we do not even know what the diagnosis is. I did my research, and like any concerned patient, was questioning him about my symptoms, about his thoughts and opinions, etc. and he seemed almost frustrated that I was even talking/asking questions. Within 3 minutes, he already told me I could see a Second Opinion - he in no way wanted to help me nor did he even know what he was talking about, medically. The visit made me extremely nervous and I was in complete shock. After I was explaining my 'physical symptoms' (which is after review with friends in… med school and family members who were diagnosed with such - it seemed like Hypo/Hyperthyroidism I thought I had), the doctor said, I am not sure what is going on, you can go see a Psychiatrist........???? What??? Go talk to somebody about physical symptoms, like hair loss, weight gain, hot flashes, brittle nails, etc. After about 5 minutes of talking with him (after waiting for 50 minutes), I was extremely upset, felt disrespected and grabbed my papers and stood up to excuse myself, I turned around, and he was gone.. did not even say goodbye or anything - I believe he knew he was in the wrong and had no idea what he was talking about. Please, please, please, if you are looking to go see someone and want to take their appointment just because they have earlier availability - just wait. Wait for and do your research on a better doctor. Find someone else, ask around for a reputable doctor/specialist. Your health is important - your doctor, of all people, should care about that, too. Please, do your homework before locking in an appointment with just anyone. God Bless.

I believe Dr. Gabir is a good doctor, but his office staff are unacceptable. They are very boisterous and have the radio turned up too loud. This is a very unprofessional office.. The office staff refuse to answer the telephone when they are talking on their cell phones at work. Just too much negative to write here.

The staff is not professional at all. When the doctor orders blood test, and you go for your follow up visit they never have the results of your blood test for you. This has happened to me three times now. The office manager who sits at the front desk argues with me that she checks her email every day so if they sent the results she would have it. I told her I had blood test done ordered by my primary care doctor done on the same day as the test that Dr. Gabir ordered me to have and I heard back the very next day about my blood test through my primary care. Again I got well I check my email every day. Her other reply is go have your blood test done sooner, well I had it done seven days before my office visit. She called lab corp to get my results after my visit was over, and told me I could go home. She would call me with the results. I never heard from her but my nurse through my insurance company had it for me instead, this is the worst office staff I've ever dealt with. When I… need an ok for a medication refill it takes two weeks. My nurse from my insurance company had to call the office for me to tell them I was without my medication for a week because I've called three times but never got ok'd by doctor. After that I got two orders of the same pill. Everything about this office staff is terrible. The Doctor himself is not that bad. My diabetes is not really out of control, but he also treats another family member with diabetes out of control, and every time they go the doctor just raise his insulin intake. I'm finding another doctor. I'm sure there are more efficient doctors out there with a more professionally run office staff.

Very rude office staff, Dr Gabir knows nothing about computers or insulin pump management and does not follow up on changes made until your next appointment- 4 to 6 months later.

I just wished I had seen these reviews before I wasted my time with this quack. Like the other reviewers, he spent a small amount of time in the room with no eye contact. If you want a script refilled you are totally out of luck. The first time I was told he wants 72 hours notice for a refill. The next time I was told "it is on his desk marked urgent he will get to it when he gets to it." Ridiculous!!! Finally, after three days of bothering them, his MA told me to get my insulin from my PCP. Worst patient service every. Runaway and find another doctor.

Dr.Gabir is a good doctor and his staff are lovely... I have never had a problem with his office ever.. Everytime we go in for our appointments its like any other doctor having to wait. . . If you are reading these reviews, pay no attention to them because these are just a handful of his patients compared to the thousands he sees. All I have to say Is you all are just bitter. YOU CANT SATISFY THEM ALL!!! These negative comments are from people that complain because they cannot have their way like little bratty children.

Carefully explains his reasoning for recommendations. Listened well. However, I am looking elsewhere after a year, because his paperwork followup on prescription requests is abysmal, even non existent.
