Dr. Mona L Abousleman, MD

I really needed to find a primary care physician that took time with me and wasn't ready to move on to the next patient when they walked in the room with me. I also needed someone I felt was knowledgable. I found all of this in Dr. Abouselman.

I'm a 52 year old, well-educated professional who has been around medicine for a long time. While Angela Romero is a top-notch doctor, I'd definitely avoid Mona Abousleman, who works in her office. She was dismissive and impatient w/ me. She rolled her eyes when I'd point out something that I'd already tried or had already been ruled out by another doctor. When I was at my worst (w/ severe pain), she was rude and suggested that I stretch (like, "no sh#t"). I saw another doc. soon after who ordered an MRI, which pointed out a serious C spine stenosis, requiring a steroid epidural and--quite possibly--surgery. Mona was obviously irritated w/ someone who'd question her authority. She got up quickly to write me a prescription and marched back into the room to hand it to me and promptly left without saying goodbye, feel better, etc., and didn't even ask about my pharmacy of choice and whether or not I'd like her to send it electronically. I'm not one to knock another professional and I've… never filled out any kind of internet rating, but this young doctor needs a wakeup call. I'd avoid her (unless you have a thing for Nurse Ratchett).

Every visit I've had with Mona was very uncomfortable. She got coding incorrect and left it up to me to make the calls to fix it so that I wasn't stuck with a large bill. She also put in for the wrong test on some of my blood work and made me wait more than a week to find out important and timely results.
