Dr. Mona Ellis, MD

Disrespectful. Has taken multiple phone calls during my appointment. Answers cell phone during appointments while you are talking. Does not listen. Haughty, officious and generally poor demeanor. I cannot believe she works in a field where you're supposed to interact with people. Poorly suited to the task. Also: Does. Not. Listen.

I have seen dr. Ellis in her office. I would send everyone I know her way.

I came from another doctor on a friday morning where he wasn't in - i needed to see someone and dr ellis saw me almost immediately.

The receptionists and billing staff at Physician Associates' Chevy Chase office are incredibly rude and inept. I spend more time dealing with them than on the actual medical issue in question.Mona Ellis is mediocre and doesn't care. Like others have said, she rushes through appointments, she's rude, I haven't gotten good medical advice from her, and her credentials don't match her arrogance.

Dr. Ellis always seems a bit rushed. She charges (and requires) a "meet and greet" before she will see you for a physical which she charges upwards of $100 for. Her billing department is also incompetent and will make you spend hours on the phone with the insurance agency when they are responsible for incorrectly billing your appointment.

My experience with Dr. Ellis has been excellent. The office is generally helpful; the doctor is knowledgeable, helpful and supportive. I'm very happy with my experience with the doctor and her support staff.

I showed up and hour before my appointment and the front desk lady gave me some attitude about it so I left. A couple months later they sent me a bill for $70 for not showing up to my appointment. That was not very considerate of them. I explained my case to the office manager and was told the next day that Dr Ellis herself would rather lose a patient (me) rather than waive a $70 fee. Very disappointing for someone who has taken the Hippocratic Oath.
