Dr. Monica Carol Amarante, CCC-A

Monica Amarante, AuD, is a clinical audiologist dedicated to improving her patients' lives by addressing their auditory and vestibular challenges. She provides comprehensive hearing care, including audiometric evaluations, adult hearing aid fittings, vestibular assessments, auditory processing evaluations and auditory brainstem response testing. Her clinical interests lie in tinnitus, vestibular disorders and auditory processing.Dr. Amarante finds fulfillment in meeting new patients and helping them with their auditory and vestibular needs. She shares, "I was drawn to audiology because I wanted a career that combined helping others with the diversity of the healthcare field. Audiology offers the perfect blend of science and technology, allowing me to build relationships with my patients and witness their progress firsthand."Dr. Amarante earned her Doctorate in Audiology from Commonwealth University – Bloomsburg. During her studies, she had the privilege of …completing her fourth-year residency at Mayo Clinic Florida. Her research there explored topics such as the impact of headphone placement on hearing tests, the effectiveness of home self-assessments for over-the-counter hearing aids and how cochlear implants influence the quality of life for caregivers of hearing-impaired people. She also had the opportunity to present her findings at prestigious national conventions, including those hosted by the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.Originally from Danville, Pa., Dr. Amarante enjoys playing the piano in her free time.
