Dr. Monica Ruth Barajas, MD

My son had a couple appointments with this Doctor and it was a situation where I was somewhat concerned because he was going to have to go see a Specialist near Orlando and she just doesn't seem to have thee best bedside manner and seems a bit fidgity and actually sort of "ha-ha'd" at my reactions to the fact that there may have been something wrong with my son. I do tend to get a bit worried when it comes to my children,like any good Mother would be but that didn't sit well with me and I don't know, maybe she just doesn't have a whole lot of experience. No disrespect intended, just informing anyone who is curious about her. She also was not very good at remembering specific names of certain things such as scientific terms for different illnesses or whatever but overall she's alright.

Very kind to my son when he needed stitches.

She was my children pediatrician for couple years, every visit she took the time to completely check my children, I love the idea that she is bilingual same then my kids who likes to practice Spanish, she brought up concerns about my son gaining weight, and yes she was right both came out with high cholesterol, I was shocked, he is only 10 years old, Dr Barajas follow up and always on every visit was beyond my expectations, knows very well how to talk to children and they really LISTEN TO HER. Also in another occasion same son went thru couple days of diarrhea which I thought was a virus but I was wrong, that was cause by having the intestines full, Dr Barajas knew immediately what to do, it is priceless what she has done otherwise he will end it up at the hospital and she saves my son's life. And yes he spent 1 week going to the bathroom with the treatment, I could not believe it. Unfortunately she is not working anymore at the Brevard Alliance clinic and I missed her because as a… mother nothing like having a great doctor which is priceless. I choose another Dr and was horrible his service, in fact he should never be a pediatrician, still searching for a replacement of Dr Barajas which I know working on the medical field, is hard to find the right Doctor specially when health issues like what my son is going thru.

Definitely cannot recommend, very dissatisfied with treatment of my grandson.
