Dr. Monica Ray Benedikt, MD

This was my first time seeing this provider, and I felt that Monica Benedikt truly cared! She asked me a lot of specific questions, reviewed my medical history, and listened to my concerns. She ordered tests to check for a hernia, and my lab results came in and she was correct! I did have a hernia!

She absolutely did not listen. She came to a conclusion before she spoke with me and would not be shifted. Implied I was a liar when reporting pretty textbook side effects.

Dr came into room unprepared. Made assumption that her established patient was a drug seeker when I requested something for pain for an ongoing medical condition. Her response was “I don’t give opioids!” There is other medicines but she never offered anything. She didn’t examined me during the time in the room or even addressed concerns during visit.

Dr assumes that you are a drug seeker when you ask for something for pain due to medical issues. First words are “I can’t give you opioids!” There are other medications besides opioids, but never offers anything for pain. I take that as a sign that as a sign of ignorance and prejudgment of me as a person. As a chemical dependency counselor I have counseled addicted professionals in occupations like hers.

Doctor apparently does not treat patients’ health issues. She does not address concerns presented to her. Instead she listens to you, smiles, says ok thank you for coming in and leaves the room after giving you an after visit summary. She will also tell you to see a specialist for concerns that she as a “primary care” physician is equipped to address . A waste of a copayment visiting this doctor.
