From our very first consultation, her kindness and genuine compassion shone through. To say I was nervous would be an understatement; the prospect of this surgery, knowing how profoundly it could alter my life, brought me to tears at nearly every office visit. Dr. Bratton's unwavering understanding and gentle demeanor were undoubtedly a significant reason I felt comfortable entrusting her with this deeply… personal procedure. The entire staff at Dr. Bratton's office is also truly amazing. In particular, Angie, who handles the surgery appointments, deserves special recognition. She clearly understood my desire to have the surgery as soon as possible. Incredibly, during one of my pre-operative appointments with Dr. Bratton, Angie came in with wonderful news – a cancellation had created an unexpected opening that very week! Her thoughtfulness in remembering my sense of urgency and offering me this opportunity was so deeply appreciated. It speaks volumes about the entire team's commitment to their patients. The surgery itself was exactly as Dr. Bratton described. The anxiety leading up to it was immense, but the experience itself is now a blur – a testament to her skill and the care provided. The impact of this surgery, performed by the remarkable Dr. Bratton, has been nothing short of transformative. I am still adjusting to the freedom of making natural eye contact, a simple act that now feels liberating. The self-consciousness that once dictated so many of my choices is slowly fading, opening up a world of possibilities I had long resigned myself to missing. Nice staff in back. Front desk was totally unfriendly and unwelcoming, zero personality. Left doctor (Bratton) a message via online portal re charge for refraction for a 3 year old toddler and it was never responded to. Then called-in to speak with her assistant and did get a response. Assistant was pleasant. However, I do believe the charge was unwarranted because the child didn't need glasses, wasn't provided a script, and the results of any refraction were not shared with me when allegedly done. For a quick check with a retinoscope even after visual acuity was checked and cleared earlier in the exam, the doctor felt the hefty insurance covered portion of the dilated exam and fee was insufficient so the parents needed to pay an additional $50 when the child was within acceptable refractive error range. They added, "you signed for it in the beginning." I have been a glaucoma patient since I was 18 and have never been charged by an ophthalmologist to do a quick verification via… retinoscope that refractive error was within limits and requires no glasses. Child was there only to verify he doesn't also have glaucoma. Yes, testing is different for kids, but even my ophthalmologist was surprised by it all, just reeks of greed. Would not recommend this office. UPDATE: in response to Marietta Eye's response, I submitted my contact info and no one bothered to reach out. So it's confirmed this outfit should be avoided at all costs. UPDATE 2: one year later, I got a portal message of a balance due on my son's account despite our last visit being a year ago when I first wrote this review. They claim I owe $50 for refration. I told them I already paid the $50 bucks when I was in there. Lady looks it up and doesn't apologize and says she's take care of it. These people are the worst! Never use them whatsoever. Pure greed and incompetence with attitude.
