Dr. Monica A Flynn, DDS

Monica A. Flynn, DMD, MS was born in New York and raised in Pennsylvania. She is an honors graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Dental School where she was a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship.
In 1993, Dr. Flynn was one of ten dentists in the United States to be awarded a Dentist-Scientist Fellowship by the National Institutes of Health. This enabled her to come to San Antonio to complete her Periodontics residency and conduct research in bone biology. She has presented her work at national meetings and has been published in professional journals.
She has taught at three dental schools and currently lectures at the dental school here in San Antonio.
Dr. Flynn is board certified by the American Board of Periodontology and an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology.
On a regular basis, Dr. Flynn volunteers at the San Antonio Christian Dental Clinic where she provides periodontal surgical services to the neediest residents of Bexar county.
