Dr. Monica H Hartman, MD

Dr Hartman is an excellent GP who is not only thorough, but also very caring. I never feel rushed with her, she always listens carefully and makes suggestions that are helpful. Yes she does refer me to other physicians when needed, but that is what she should do. A GP is not meant to be an expert in every area. Last year I had horrible pain and she made exactly the correct referral, which led to several surgeries and now I'm much better. Through it all she was compassionate, stayed on top of my progress, and genuinely felt like a partner in my care. I think her staff is generally pretty great as well, and I haven't had any issues with responses or follow up. I highly recommend Dr.Hartman. I'm very surprised to see any negative reviews for her at all, and on the Mercy Health website she has 4.9/5 star rating, which she deserves.

Dr. Hartman is always a good listener, answered my questions and gave me options I had not considered. She remembers my daughter was getting married last fall and asked about that. Very personal and I appreciated being a "known" patient.

I love Monica. Her intern was wonderful. Monica has a "thing" about her so I trust her. She seems to actually care, I don't feel like an interruption of her day or that she's in a hurry to get onto the next patient.

I have been seeing Dr. Hartman for about 7 or 8 years. She has been very attentive and listens then gives input and helps me make the best decision. I read other reviews and have to disagree. She has always been open toisten and responds very quickly in MyChart.

She is always in a hurry and charges you over $150 for the appt! She even puts in a different code for labs during your physical so be prepared to get a huge bull! Don't recommend her to anyone!

She's nice - I always feel comfortable speaking with her about anything and she is really reassuring. It was hard to establish a primary physician in the area but I'm glad I got in with her. I also like that she recommends labs and immunizations each year. None of my previous doctors pushed for that regularly.

I would give her a negative rating. She's awful, does not take time to listen to you, and instead keeps referring to you to specialists.

I went for a physical a month back and she spent less than 10 mins with me. She does not take the time to listen to your concerns and instead interrupts you because she is always in hurry to leave. She does not care to respond to your MyChart messages either, please avoid her. Never going back to her again!

Very expensive. Doesn't answer questions and isn't very helpful when it comes to health concerns.

Apparently new patients get no mercy here. Accidentally missed my first appointment and they won't reschedule. I'm human - I make mistakes!
