A life long native of the Milwaukee area, Dr Michael Donohoo graduated in 1980 with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry. He previously received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of WI-Madison before entering dental school. Immediately joining his father Stanley in his busy practice of general dentistry provided a framework for Dr Mike's compassion and caring for his patients.
Dr Mike has been able to serve his profession in numerous areas, most notably through professional association activities. His dental colleagues have elected him to serve as President of the Greater Milwaukee Dental Association, President of the Wisconsin Dental Association (WDA), as well as Chairman of the American Dental Political Action Committee (ADPAC) based in Washington, D.C. He served for three years on HRSA's Advisory Committee on Primary Training in Medicine & Dentistry (appointed by then HHS Secretary Tommy Thompson) …to offer his insights regarding training programs for those just entering careers in primary care.  Dr Mike also had the honor to serve as the Speaker of the House from 2004-2009 for the WDA House of Delegates.
On the personal side Dr Mike resides in Wauwatosa with his wife Eileen. Eileen is employed as a dental hygienist on the faculty at Marquette University School of Dentistry.  Eileen was named to the Wisconsin Dental Examining Board in 2011and will start serving a multi-year term.   She also served for nine years on the Wauwatosa School Board including a term as President. Their five children are scattered in different cities either attending school or working. His five young grandchildren live in the Milwaukee area and keep him active with "child care" but he loves every minute of it. A golf game will always remain high on Mike's list of favorite activities. Coaching basketball remains a passion and this year is no exception--he is coaching the 8th grade girls at St Sebastian's Parish in Milwaukee along with Dr Monica Hebl.
