Dr. Monika A Kassyk, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Kassyk for years. Each visit, no matter what the reason, she is very thorough. She always listens and answers every question or concern I have. She is a wonderful doctor. I am very happy to have her as my primary care physician!

She listens to me, doesn't rush the appt.

New to Pittsburgh and began with her as our new PCP. Cannot call her office directly and must use UPMC scheduling and My UPMC to send questions to her office. Received a referral from her and was told by UPMC that his specialty was not correct for the problem. Had to "pick a doctor" that was available and wait a month for an appointment. Went and was sent to a second specialist with another month to wait. Not happy that the original referral was wrong and it was difficult to make timely appointments. As a doctor, she seemed nice. Her staff asked a lot of initial questions and then, when she came in, she repeated most of them and discussed some of the particulars. Not sure if we will stay with this practice.

I chose Dr. Kassyk because she was close but stayed a patient because she's wonderful. She took A LOT of time just talking to me and asking questions about my health. Very knowledgeable and very, very nice. I have a natural aversion to all things medical (including doctors) but I really like and trust Dr. Kassyk.
