Dr. Monique Maria Matherne, PhD

I had the misfortune of getting this lady as a therapist when I was around 11 years old. She was extremely dismissive of pretty much everything I told her. I confessed that I had feelings for both girls and boys, and she told me that I was going through a phase and that I would change. I told her that I was hearing voices. Her response? I was making it up and looking for attention. She seemed unfazed by the abuse I described as well. All she seemed to care about were my grades. Ten years later, I was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder and I still have feelings for girls. Knowing that I could've gotten better help and started my recovery earlier makes me upset. Don't expose your children to this woman. She isn't interested in your recovery, she wants your money.
