I have been going to Medac for years and had to go back a few weeks ago. I have never seen the doctor that was there that night. I went in there and saw the nurses first, who were positive that what I had was a shingles rash and all the shingles symptoms. The doctor came in and told me that I had a staph infection, not shingles and put me on a very potent antibiotic which made me worse. The next morning I called my primary doctor as the medac doctor I saw was not on call that day. As soon as my primary took one look at me and the pictures of the stages that I showed the other doctor he knew I had been misdiagnosed by Medac. I had the shingles! I spoke with Medac the next day about what happened and it took them a week or so to respond and they stood behind their doctor even though my primary doctor and cvs pharmacist knew exactly what was going on. I am appalled that when they called back to speak to me that the facts they tried to throw at me were not correct at all!! After being a… patient all these years I will not ever go back there again as they made me a lot worse than I actually went in with and it almost landed me in the Hospital ER later that night!! Horrible experience!
