Summary
Dr Monisha Rao grew up in Ventura where she attended Buena High school followed by her Bachelor's degree in Psychobiology at UCLA. Subsequently, she pursued her MD at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed a Pediatrics residency at the University of Chicago Childrens' Hospital. Dr. Rao was in private practice in a busy Chicago suburb for two years before she and her husband decided to return home and contribute to the community that she grew up in. Ever since she has joined CCMG in 2000, she has been very committed to serving Ventura County and the local hospitals. Dr. Rao is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Being a mother of two young ones herself with aging parents who live with her, she deeply understands the multiple demands facing families today. Her personal experiences help her provide customized care to each and every young patient that she has the privilege of getting to know and see mature into fine …adults over the years.
