Dr. Monty Roy Sellon, MD

I saw Dr. Sellon yesterday 3 months after my husband passed away. He took so much time with me talking beside doing my checkup. He made me feel like I was his only patient as we talked about my husband. He remembered him well. I'm so glad he is my Dr.

Took my son to an appointment because he was having trouble breathing and having pain. When we got there the nurse took his pulse and panicked when it read 62, she went and got another meter and it read the same thing so she went and got a 3rd meter and again it read 62!! When the doctor came in with his student he started checking my son over and they didn’t seem one bit concerned at all about his pulse, the fact that he was having trouble breathing so I made a comment that he wasn’t taking his care that day as seriously as he should be with the way that nurse had just make me start having a panic attack and with Covid so he turned around and looked at me and said “I’m dismissing both of you” and got up and walked out of the room! I’ve never been so disappointed in anybody in my entire life! It’s sad that they think just because they wear a white coat that they can treat you disrespectfully and my son is so traumatized by that experience that he will not go to the doctor, the dentist… or to even the ER and he has a lot of health issues. It’s sad that doctors bully their patients and it’s allowed by the state to continue.

Dr Sellon is my dad’s doctor. My dad has very obvious signs of physical and cognitive decline, including very clear dementia symptoms. My mom and I have communicated with Dr Sellon three times in writing and with nurses multiple times. They do absolutely nothing for my dad during his appointments. Sellon gave dad a memory test last week. Dad came home and said he passed with flying colors. When asked about the test, he couldn’t remember what it entailed. When I spoke with the nurse last year about my dad’s unwillingness to allow us to come to his appointments, she told me that my mom or I should physically force him into the car and then all drive to the appointment together. Everytime my dad goes to Sellon’s office, I’m reminded of their incompetence and neglect of patients’ well-being.

After 35 Plus years I have Fired this doctor. His incompetent staff will not return calls. Will not check on insurance. Will not call in prescriptions or refills. DR will never contact you direct. 60 second phone prompt to get to a live body every time you call. Uncaring and very rude staff!

Disapointed with him. Asked questions pending surgery. Told me I was wasting his time, twice.

Bad fall, large bump on head. Referred to Dr. Sellon. He told me I was wasting his time.

When Dr. Sellon is in the exam room you feel like you are his only patient. He gives ample time for questions and always answers them thoroughly. So glad that he is my family doctor

I like that he gives me options for treatment when possible. I am able to make some decisions and not just be told what will be done. He recognizes that I have preferences and tries to respect those when possible.

Dr. Sellon has been our family doctor since 1995 and I trust him to recommend what is best for our family. He is knowledgeable, spends time with us, asks questions and makes sure we are comfortable with the plan of action. I especially like that he does not heslitate to refer to a specialist if warrented. His staff has been helpful in dealing with the insurance company and making appoints at other offices.

Dr. Sellon is caring, intellegent and helpful. I would highly recommend him.
