Dr. Morali Divatia Sharma, MD

I’m with Kaiser Permanente, and so far I’ve been dissatisfied with Dr. Morali Sharma’s consultations. If you don’t prepare all your questions, she will probably not say much more than what’s obvious. Also, she never orders labs that are crucial. Even my primary care doctor and external experts would order more labs than Morali. Ask her for more and she will tell you to go somewhere else and jump through hoops for it.

I had the pleasure of being one of her patients and she had saved my life with this battle of Diabetes. Now that she has moved on to another state, my Diabetes has gone back to uncontrolled and ignored for the insurance profit sake and not for my living sake. I just wanted to let you know that I do and will miss you Dr. Sharma! You saved my life and I will always love you for the care you gave as my Physician!!!

Dr. Sharma diagnosed and treatment me for hyperthyroidism when she was with the BCM Cllinic. I have not a complaint one; I trusted her. I chose her from 4 other doctors even though she had only one review and it was very negative. I'm happy I ignored that review because with me she was exactly the opposite of every complaint listed there. She is professional, kind, unhurried, answered questions in turms I understood.

I feel so bad for bothering Dr Sharma and her nurse Maria with my health. It has obviously been such a burden for them to do the simplest of tasks, like getting my blood work back to me within a 2 week period, when it should have only taken 2-3 days. I called on a Thursday afternoon to inquire about them, but was greeted with short and unhelpful answers from the nurse, who wanted to leave for the day to go home. Don't worry, I'll put my health on hold for the weekend so you can go home. The doctor ordered blood work for me, which was to include TSH, T3 and a antibody test. After two weeks, I still hadn't heard anything (despite NUMEROUS messages on the worthless portal and phone calls) so I called back and finally got a hold of the nurse. She said "oh, well we didn't do the antibody test, but your TSH and your T3 are normal. ok, anything else I can help you with?" Yeah, what about the antibodies? And I'd like to discuss my results further with the doctor. Is that too much to ask?!… I'd Dr Sharma a message on the portal (only way to contact her) 5 days prior asking her to call me instead of the nurse, but alas, no call. So here I am, 2 weeks after my first contact with the doctor with no answers. I have a biopsy scheduled with her Thursday and I've already tried calling to see if another doctor in the practice can do it because I'd rather anyone but her. Unfortunately looks like I'll have to stick with her. So I won't be expecting answers anytime this year. Save your time, save your money, save your sanity, DONT GO TO DR SHARMA.

I have only seen 2 endocrinologists and Dr. Sharma has by far been the best. My health has vastly improved while under her care and she actually listened to me. My experience with the first endo was so horrific, and she was a refreshing change.

Have gone to her for years. She discovered and diagnosed my multi-nodular thyroid goiter and enlarged parathyroid nodule. Recommended an excellent head and neck surgeon and has seen me regularly checking my thyroid numbers regularly. She is soft spoken , kind , knowledgable and pleasant. My husband also goes to her for diabetes and thinks she 'a great. She spends a all the time you need with you to answer any and all questions. I have recommended her to several people who have loved her and know another who has used her for years before me and loved her

I have been a patient of Dr. Sharma for many years. While she is somewhat aloof (I think it is just a cultural difference or she is shy), she always takes time with me to discuss what is going on with my Type I diabetes and makes changes to meds as needed. Personally, I like her as a doctor and am very upset she is leaving Baylor. I am hoping to find out where she has relocated to so I can continue to have her as my endocrinologist.

She is terrific. I have been going to her since 2007!

I found Dr. Sharma to be very attentive and listened to my symptoms and concerns. She didn't walk in exam room with a pre-determined diagnosis or treatment plan like the other two "well thought of" endocrinologists in Houston did. I've been dealing with thyroid problems for well over 3 years and have been terribly frustrated with lack of empathy from other doctors concerning hair loss and the other symptoms I've experienced. She did a great job of not being so dogmatic about a specific treatment plan. For the first time, I felt like I'm on the right track.. keeping my fingers crossed! I highly recommend Dr. Sharma!
